Check your stationery cupboard. Substitute virgin stationary products with recycled content ones where possible

‘Green’ your machine. Most office machines can use good quality recycled content paper and remade toner cartridges without problems

What’s in the bin? Audit office waste to help improve waste and recycling systems. Doing an audit is easy

Ask your supplier. Ask your supplier about different types of recycled content products available

Leap into cyberspace. Use e-mail and on-line publishing to avoid using paper and don’t print everything out

Feed that recycling bin. Recycling bins at desks, printers faxes and photocopiers will help keep good quality paper separate for recycling

Protect recyclable paper. Keep rubbish out of recycling bins to ensure that paper does not become contaminated and unusable

Get smart about recycling! Make staff aware of the importance of buying recycled content products and that recycling saves valuable resources and the environment

Think before you print. Use less paper and avoid creating paper waste by keeping printing and photocopying to a minimum

Tell the cleaners. Make sure your cleaners know how your recycling system works and don’t accidentally throw away valuable materials

Compost your organic waste from your kitchen. Look into installing a worm farm or a bokashi bin replace paper towel in your bathrooms and kitchens with reusable/washable towels |
