1. Retail & Shopping
This Award will be presented to the business which provides a “Business Advantage” as a retail outlet in the region.

This Award will be presented to the business which provides a “Business Advantage” in promoting, selling or creating arts, entertainment and/or culture in the region.

This Award will be presented to the business which provides a “Business Advantage” as a restaurant, café or catering business within the region.

4. Skilled Trades

This Award will be presented to the business which provides a “Business Advantage” as trade person/business within the region.

5. Business Services

This Award will be presented to the business which provides a “Business Advantage” in providing excellent business services within their chosen field.

6. Beauty, Health & Fitness
e.g. Hairdressers, Medical & Dental Services, Personal Trainers, Aged Care, Vets
This Award will be presented to the business which provides a “Business Advantage” as a health, beauty or fitness business within the region.

7. Commonwealth Bank Customer Service Award
This Award will be presented to the business which provides a “Business Advantage” in its exhibition of commitment to, and the practice of, customer service.

8. New Business
This Award will be presented to the business which provides a “Business Advantage” as a new business operating in the region for more than 12 months, but less than 36 months, at the time of the awards.

9. Environmental Business Practices
This Award will be presented to the business which provides a “Business Advantage” in implementing eco-friendly and earth safe practices and policies, providing environmentally friendly practices.

10. Blue Mountains Gazette Innovation Award
This Award will be presented to the business which provides a “Business Advantage” with its innovative product, process or services.

11. Integral Energy Community Contribution Award
This award will be presented to the business that supports the local community. This award will recognise outstanding community spirit, commitment and dedication to the Blue Mountains regional community, achieved over and above the regular day to day activities of running the business. May be self nomination or nomination by a third party.

12. Telstra Employer of the Year
This Award will be presented to the business/person which provides a “Business Advantage”as an employer, demonstrating a very positive working environment for the employees, enabling them to develop and grow in their chosen field. This application must be made by employee/s.

13. Employee of the Year
This Award will be presented to the employee who provides a “Business Advantage” within the company they work for. This submission may only be made by the Manager/Employer of the employee (no self nomination).

14. BlueMountainsAustralia.com People’s Choice Award
This Award will be presented to the business which receives the most nominations from the local community. Nominations/votes may be made online at BlueMountainsAustralia.com or by original nomination form in the Blue Mountains Gazette.

15. Tourism
This Award will be presented to the Tourism Business with the highest score in the 2010 Regional Tourism Awards.

16. Harry Hammon Golden Business Award
This Award will be presented to the business which is deemed the overall “Business of the Year”, selected by the judges from the winners of the first 10 categories (above).
